We want to take a moment to share some of the amazing work that is taking place within our Trust to support our children and families during these difficult and challenging times.
Following on from the first National lockdown and the difficulties many families faced in accessing online learning, we made the decision to invest in our IT infrastructure for staff and children by upgrading our systems and providing every child within our Trust from Year 1 to Year 6 with a Chromebook. The children have been utilising these in school and as we face into a further lockdown we have been able to distribute these devices immediately to all those who need them. Our amazing staff have been preparing these for collection and yesterday saw 478 Chromebooks go home ready for the children to start live lessons and home learning. The remainder will be collected before the end of this week.
Our leadership teams have said that whilst catering for the needs of our children and families, we as a Trust have instilled confidence within our parents, kept learning at the forefront and laid the foundations for everyone to be successful.
All of our children are able to access the same high quality learning, whether they are at home or in school. Systems are in place to ensure the wellbeing of every child, our premises have been made ready to accept those needing to come into school and enhanced cleaning regimes continue. Food parcels are being distributed to those families in need and we will continue to share details of any further support we can offer.
We are hugely proud of every member of our staff; their dedication, flexibility, resourcefulness and determination to do whatever is right for the children in their care, is clear. We are equally proud of our children and families and are extremely grateful for the support you continue to give. Please remember we are here to support you in any way we can.
Stay safe and we look forward to the time we are able to welcome everyone back.
Best wishes from
Everyone at Everychild Trust

Planning permission was granted in October for the new school to be built on the site of the former law courts in Hatchlands Road.
The new building will be a modular design and is constructed off site in a factory in Yorkshire. This has huge benefits to our project as it will dramatically reduce any lost working time due to adverse weather conditions we may have.
The Reigate & Banstead Council Planning Committee need to issue the official notification of their approval for our plans. Prior to this, they will need to produce a Section 106 agreement, which we are expecting to be issued shortly.
Whilst we are waiting for the Council’s official notification of planning permission, in order to speed up the project, the DfE are issuing early works instructions for the following:
* The demolition of the existing building which will begin during the week commencing 11th November and has an anticipated finish of the end of this year.
* The production of the modular elements of our new school. These will arrive on site with the electrics and plumbing already in place, which means at the point of delivery, the project is over 60% complete. We anticipate these being delivered to us during April 2020.
The handing over of the finalised building is expected to take place in August 2020 ready to welcome the children back in September 2020.
Watch this space for further updates.
