3 New Trustees

We are delighted to Welcome 3 new Trustees to our Board.  Please see details below:

Judith Constable:

Judith Constable has had a long career in education, including three successful headships in local primary schools. Since retiring from headship, she has been working for the Regional Schools Commissioner as an Education Adviser and as a coach and facilitator on nationally accredited leadership training programmes for school leaders.
As a Trustee, Judith has a particular interest in raising standards through the support and development of school leaders, continuing a career-long aim of securing a great education for every child.

Catherine Matthews:

Catherine is a chartered account, and her 3 children all attended Sandcross School. She was a governor of Sandcross for 5 years, and chaired the Resources Committee. She has also been a governor of Newdigate School and treasurer for St Paul’s Church, Dorking, and was Director of Finance for Reigate Sixth Form College for 3 years. Catherine currently works as Director of Reward in a private equity firm in London, and is also a trustee of the firm’s charitable trust. Her work experience and voluntary roles have provided her with strong understanding of financial management of schools, and of the competing priorities which the trustees will need to balance.

Carol Nicholls, CBE:

Carol has been an inspirational teacher and educationist since 1974.  She trained in both primary and secondary education, and has worked in large comprehensive schools and single sex grammar schools.  She has operated for the last 40 years at senior leadership level.  In addition to a distinguished career in the classroom, Carol has engaged in teacher training, supported new head teachers in London (LLE) and has been Head of School Improvement for all primary and secondary schools in Croydon.  In 2007, Carol was awarded the CBE for services to education.  During the last few years she has been involved in successfully supporting schools in inner London and Surrey, focusing on training senior leaders and supporting failing schools in Trusts and LAs.

Her hobbies are numerous but mainly she loves sport (Golf), theatre, music and the countryside.
